During this semester class the student will be introduced to the business world. We will discuss our economic system and the economic system in other regions of the world and how these systems have an effect on our lives. The student will also see the effect World Trade has on our economic system and other economic systems. We will also look at the Consumers Rights and Responsibilities in our economic system and also look at the agencies that are in charge of making sure that the consumers Rights and Responsibilities aren’t infringed upon. The last part of the semester will involve learning about the banking system, which includes: Opening a checking account, writing and receiving checks and reconciling a checkbook. We will also look at credit in our economy and the different ypes of credit that a consumer can receive. The student will also be introduced to savings & investing which includes: Savings accounts, stocks and bonds. To finish off the semester the student will learn about budgeting their money properly so that they are financially secure.
